SPRING: CO-ED BOX LACROSSE
Get ready for indoor action
This exciting league offers a fantastic opportunity for players of all levels to develop their lacrosse skills in a fast-paced and fun environment.
Run through TC Lacrosse, the season is a fully padded co-ed league. Games will follow USA Lacrosse’s rules for box lacrosse with a few modifications to make the game safer. (No cross-checking, 4v4 or 5v5 change on the fly, no “hot” rule at any level). Girls, please don't let pads be a barrier to joining, the board can help find equipment to borrow for the season.
Age Guidelines
We will form teams based upon current USA Lacrosse age guidelines, these will be the same age groups used for the upcoming summer season. If you need more information on what age group your player belongs in, check out the link below. If you believe your athlete better fits in another group, please submit an Age Waiver for review.
USA Lacrosse membership
A $35 USA Lacrosse membership is required for league participation. This annual fee includes insurance, equipment discounts, Lacrosse Magazine, and covers a full 12 month period from the date you initiate your membership.
What to expect
When we play
Games will start in early March with the season ending at the end of April. Each team will play six games total.
The league has every association's Spring Breaks and will avoid games on front/back weekends. There will be "some flexibility" to avoid a particular weekend and play a double-header (Sat/Sun) on another date if there is a MAJOR conflict (state basketball/hockey tournament or association evaluations).
Practices
We do not have box-specific practices and treat this as a game-only league.
Games
Games will be played Saturdays and Sundays.
Coaching
We are required to have at least one coach on the bench for each game, often times its helpful to have two. If you are interested in helping coach, please indicate interest when you register your player.
Where we play
Games will be scheduled at one of the following locations:
4v4: Pipeline Lacrosse (Edina) - Generally 8 and 10U teams
5v5: Hopkins Pavilion - Generally 12 and 14U teams
Uniforms & Equipment
Players should wear full pads and their game day jerseys and shorts from the 2025 summer season. Don't have a jersey? Let us know. We have a few we can loan out.
