Coach Code of Conduct

  1. I will help make lacrosse fun for everyone. 
  2. I will treat all individuals with dignity and respect. 
  3. I will insist athletes play in a safe and healthy environment.
  4. I will uphold the authority of officials and follow league rules. 
  5. I will report any suspected rule, regulation, or policy violations.
  6. I understand the importance of my responsibilities as a youth coach.
  7. I will avoid profanity, threats, violence, and unsportsmanlike behavior.
  8. I will meet all required coaching certifications and background checks.
  9. I will be well-prepared for practices and games, teaching fundamental skills. 
  10. I will give all players the opportunity to improve through active participation.
  11. I will teach players the rules of lacrosse and the importance of sportsmanship. 
  12. I will not encourage anyone to initiate a fight, argue, or intentionally harm others. 
  13. I will not encourage behavior that purposely endangers the health, safety, or wellbeing of others.
  14. I will abstain from drugs or alcohol while at association events and will not attend, coach, officiate, or participate in an event while under the influence.
