This optional tournament is a great way to kick off the season, sharpen your skills, and have fun competing with your teammates. Don’t miss out on the action!

Once enough players at your age division pre-register, we'll email a unique link to submit payment via Crossbar. Payment must be received before you can be rostered. Once rosters are full, we won't be able to add more players.
The pre-registration deadline is Sunday, March 22.

Unfortunately, the Spud Showdown is not offering an opportunity for 8u girls to play. You are welcome to pre-register for our 10u team.
Travel and lodging costs are not included in the above and are the responsibility of each family.
What to Expect
Tournament Information
8U teams:Â 3 games on one day in a jamboree format.
10U–14U teams: a minimum of 4 games with the potential for more during bracket play.

Parent Support
Each age division requires 1–2 parent volunteer coaches to lead practices in advance of the tournament and coach on the sideline during games.Â
Practice Information
We will largely reply upon our practices occurring in March/April and early May to get ready for the tournament. To ensure, our teams can be competitive, each team formed for the Spud Showdown will have 2 or 3 additional practices leading up to the tournament weekend. Expectation is that practices will occur on the last weekend in April and first 2 weekends in May subject to field and coach availibility.

What gear is required?
Standard lacrosse gear is required for participation. Refer to USA Lacrosse for more information.
What jerseys will be used?
We will use our new jerseys for the 2026 season if they have arrived. If they have not yet arrived, we will used our jerseys from 2025. If you do not have a jersey from the 2025 season, please reach out to the board and we will work to help find one to use for the weekend.
Does my athlete need an active USA Lacrosse ID?
Yes. To participate in the tournament all athletes and sideline coaches need an active USA Lacrosse ID.
